There are many opportunities for you to be
rewarded for academic excellence and good
behavior. These include:

SUPER STARS
Students receive "Super Stars" for achievement, effort, or good
citizenship. Students deposit "Super Stars" in the main office for
their chance to win prizes in the weekly drawing.
STUDENTS OF THE WEEK
Teachers nominate Students of the Week for outstanding grades,
citizenship, and participation in activities. Students' names appear
on the marquee for the entire week. In addition, students receive a
certificate and a week of Front of the Line Passes.
PRINCIPAL’S HONOR ROLL &
HONOR ROLL
Students who receive a 3.5 or higher will be recognized as being on
the Principal’s Honor Roll. Students who receive a 3.0 to a 3.49
will be recognized for being on Honor Roll. These students will be
given a certificate for their accomplishment and be invited to a
quarterly party.
CONDOR CLUB
Students who receive at least 8 (O ' s)
Outstanding and no (N's) Needs Improvement and/or (U's)
Unsatisfactory in citizenship or work habits will be given a
certificate for their accomplishment and invited to a quarterly
party.
ANNUAL AWARDS DESSERT NIGHT
During the early part of June, Alamitos holds its ANNUAL AWARDS
DESSERT NIGHT. It is an evening when teachers honor students for
such reasons as academic or physical fitness achievement,
outstanding effort improvement, and perfect attendance. If you have
been selected for an award, you and your family will be invited to
attend. This is always a great evening. This night proves that hard
work DOES pay off.

Eligible students are welcome to participate in the many activities
we offer.

>>National Junior Honor Society
In order to be eligible, you must have a minimum 2.0 GPA for the
quarter. Students who have below a 2.0 G.P.A. and/or (3) or more U’s
in citizenship on your report card, are ineligible.
For example, a student who earns below a 2.0 GPA for 1st quarter is
ineligible for 2nd quarter activities.
**Note: 7th graders – 4th quarter grades determine eligibility for
the 1st quarter of your 8th grade year.
