Click Here for Students of the Week!

Welcome Parents and Students!  It is a pleasure working at Alamitos Intermediate.  The Alamitos staff is dedicated to the success and safety of all students. Therefore, a few guidelines are outlined in the best interest of students:
Arriving to school/ Leaving school
Upon arrival to school, students are to remain in the quad area until supervision begins at 8:03 AM.  Please use caution and appropriate speed when dropping off/ picking up your child at school.  The roads can become congested.  Last, afternoon supervision ends at 2:25 PM.  Students are to exit school by this time unless remaining for intervention classes, Boys & Girls Club, or to attend club meetings.
Student Involvement
Research shows that students who become involved in their school have a more vested interest in their education.  Intervention classes and Boys and Girls Club are two powerful tools for students to utilize with the rigorous expectations set upon them in class.  In addition, various student activities (skating, dances, bowling, etc), Academic and/or service clubs are open for interested students.
Making Good Choices
Students are expected to make appropriate choices.  These choices include understanding and following school expectations, such as the dress code, attending school regularly, bringing only approved items to school, choosing good friends, and remaining academically focused.  Students are encouraged to communicate with the Administration any concerns or questions.
Parent Involvement
Of course parent involvement is a necessity in the success of a student.  There are multiple opportunities for parents to bridge the gap between school and home.  Helping your child study, organize notes and assignments, setting guidelines, and establishing a quiet study area and time are key assets.  Parents are always invited to attend upcoming parent and/or student events, such as English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), Back-to-School Nights, Parent Night, or related night activities to broaden the relationship between the school and home.  Please feel free to contact the school directly with any questions regarding your child.
